Hills
I did my first ever hills workout today!
DH and I went to a killer hill right by our house. This hill is 900m in length. It starts with a slight incline and then ramps up fairly quickly. I ran up and down the hill 3 times for a total of 5.5km. It took me 40:48 to complete this workout. This was better than I expected. My first goal will to be able to run up this hill without stopping.

This had been a tough evening of drinking and eating. It will probably take a few days before my weight drops again. Today will be a day of lots of water.
19km was finished this morning! The run went exactly according to plan. I was doing 10:1 splits. Last week i had some difficulty with my long run, but not this week. I was tired after my cardio heavy weekend. I was tired and it was raining, the perfect excuse. So instead of running, I made dinner. Then, the rain stopped. Menu Advice
I am cooking a cedar planked salmon for dinner. What do you think would make a good side dish? For dessert I am thinking of making a berry and melon fruit salad with a cool whip topping.
It is 10:30, on my day off, and I am lounging in the bath having already ran my 8km. I needed to get this workout in early because DH and I want to play tennis, go golfing, and take our dog down to the river. It is going to be an awesome day outside! I am so glad my allergies are better and I can now actually enjoy spring.
Today was a good day! I ate well, swam, and played tennis. I did not go for my run, because instead I played tennis. However, I don’t work tomorrow do I will run then.
I went to the pool this morning. My intentions were to try for 2000m. Unfortunately my body was not up for the increase yet. I was sneezing and coughing in the pool, which makes swimming and keeping my head under the water rather difficult. I ended up swimming 40 laps which is only 1000m. I am okay with that, I still have 8km to run tonight and then I might play a game of tennis.

10k done this morning! I am so happy I can run again.
I am awake. Now, to actually go for my am run.
I was able to run today! So happy! My allergies are not just the sniffles and a slight cough, no more trouble breathing. I didn’t die after last night’s softball game, so I headed out for my training run. I did 6km in 40 minutes, I am pretty happy with that since it is my first run in 14 days. Here is hoping there are no more training setbacks on my road to a marathon.
The last two days have gone well. My allergies are still to bad to workout. Yesterday I attempted my 16k (inside on a treadmill) after 1 1/2km I gave up because I was coughing and couldn’t breathe. I haven’t gone outside since. I have been keeping to my minimum calorie allowance, because I am not exercising. I did this by turning down a piece of my own birthday cake and only...

Marathon Training Day 16 - Recap
I woke up and had one of my favourite breakfasts, two fried eggs with toast, yoghurt and fruit (watermelon). I then headed to the pool, bringing my swimsuit this time.
At the pool. I swam about 300m before I started to feel terrible. I was feeling tired, crampy, and dizzy. I decided it just wasn’t happening and sat in the hot tub a few minutes before getting showered and dressed.

Finding something for breakfast and lunch was tricky today. Because we were gone all weekend, I didn’t have an opportunity to stock up on fruits and vegetables. Luckily, we still had milk in the fridge. For breakfast, I had Special K Satistfaction cereal w/ milk and yoghurt.
